AGE GROUP CALCULATION

Age determination day is December 31 of the current racing year, meaning how old you are at the end of the year determines which category you can race.

If you are between 19 and 80 years old you can choose whether you race Elite or your allocated category .

RACE RULES

  • Riders get shuttled practice runs on the race day between 8am and 10am

  • Riders get 1 race run for rounds 1,2 &3, with the top 50% (minimum 3 riders) in each category from run 1 going through to the SuperPole second race run

  • The SuperPole second race run determines podiums and overall positions

  • Round 4 is a Super Enduro Format with 3 stages for racing

  • Riders get unlimited shuttled race runs for Round 4 between 830am and 3pm, with a riders best time from each stage going towards their result.

  • Riders must set a time on all stages for Round 4 during the allocated race period

  • E-Bike categories will have an extra timed power stage for Rounds 1,2 & 3o

  • The riders quickest time on the stage is taken as the result

  • No short cutting the track even if it is not bunted.

  • Race numbers must be displayed on the handlebars of the bicycle. The number plate must be readable, so it must be fastened as flat as possible. Altering, cutting or placing of unauthorised sponsors’ logos on numbers will result in a penalty. You can keep your number plate as a memento of your race.

  • Riders must register before they will be allowed to practice.

  • All riders must wear an Australian Standards (or approved international standard) Full Face helmet at all times when riding and racing. You will be required to wear fully enclosed foot wear and gloves are recommended.

  • For U17, U15 and U13 Categories, full finger gloves/full length jersey/knee pads/elbow pads are mandatory

  • KingPin Series points will be awarded based on the point score below.

  • You must compete in at least 3 rounds in order to qualify for the overall KingPin Series award.

  • You are allowed to change bikes in between your race runs for Rounds 1,2 & 3

  • You must be present or be represented at the ceremony at the end of the race to claim your race medals.

  • You must be present or be represented at the last race of the series to claim your KingPin awards.

  • No garbage policy: please don’t litter out on the track.

  • No cheating policy: you must follow the track. It will be clearly marked with arrows, bunting tape, flags and signs. If you are caught cheating, you will not be allowed to participate in the GV Cartel Club Series.

  • Rider down procedure – if you come to an accident out on the track you MUST stop and make sure the rider is ok. If he/she is not, stay with him/her and send the next rider straight back to the event center to let us know what happened. If you lose time while helping an injured rider we will give you another race run.

  • If a race is deemed unsafe because of storm, rain, fire or wind we will pause it, assess the situation and if possible restart it again later.

  • Passing: being friendly out on the track goes a long way. Let the rider you are about to pass know when and on which side. E.g. “rider coming up, passing on your right”. Then say thanks and keep on pinning.  If you are being passed, find the next best place to move to the side and let them pass.

  • Points scored in one category are unable to be transferred to another.
